The cost of a hair transplant in Turkey can vary by several thousand euros, even when two clinics appear to offer the same technique and graft number. One quote may cover little more than the procedure, while another includes accommodation, transfers, medication and greater involvement from a named doctor. The headline price therefore tells only part of the story.
Based on publicly advertised international-patient prices reviewed in September 2026, many Turkey hair transplant packages fall roughly between €2,000 and €6,000. Offers below this range exist, while physician-led, low-volume or premium services may cost €7,000 to €10,000 or more. These figures are market estimates rather than an official national tariff, and an individual quotation should follow an assessment of your hair loss and donor area.
This independent guide explains what changes the price, what an “all-inclusive” package may actually contain, which costs are commonly excluded and how to compare clinic quotations on a like-for-like basis.
Price information reviewed: 24 September 2026. Prices can change with clinic policies, exchange rates, package contents and individual treatment plans.
There is no single standard price for hair transplantation in Turkey. Clinics use different business and medical models, ranging from high-volume package providers to practices where a named physician personally performs or closely manages more of the procedure.
| Advertised price band | What it may represent | What to check carefully |
|---|---|---|
| Below €2,000 | Entry-level offer, limited package or high-volume model | Named doctor, facility, graft limit, hotel, aftercare and extra charges |
| €2,000–€3,500 | Common fixed-price international package range | Doctor involvement, technique, hotel standard and actual treatment scope |
| €3,500–€6,000 | Higher-service package, complex method or greater physician involvement | Whether the higher price reflects meaningful medical differences |
| €6,000–€10,000+ | Premium, surgeon-led, low-volume, complex or repair-focused care | The named surgeon’s exact role and the reason for the premium |
These bands describe the market, not guaranteed standards. A €5,000 clinic is not automatically safer than a €2,500 clinic, and a lower price does not automatically mean poor care. The important question is what medical service, personnel, facility and follow-up the quotation actually buys.
Hair transplantation is not a standard product that can be compared only by quantity. The procedure combines diagnosis, design, donor harvesting, graft preparation, recipient-site creation, implantation and follow-up. Different people may perform these stages, and the level of medical oversight can vary substantially.
A clinic treating several patients at the same time can distribute facility, staffing, transport and marketing costs across a larger number of procedures. This may reduce the package price. A lower-volume practice in which a physician spends more time with each patient may charge more.
Volume alone does not determine quality. However, the clinic should be able to explain how many procedures the doctor and team supervise each day, who is assigned to you and how attention is maintained if multiple operations run simultaneously.
Some packages include an initial consultation with a doctor while most technical steps are delegated. Others include hairline design, donor planning, extraction or recipient-site creation by a named physician. Clinics may also offer several price tiers based on which doctor participates.
Do not assume that the person featured in advertising will perform your surgery. Request the full name and role of everyone responsible for the diagnosis, hairline, anaesthesia, harvesting, recipient sites and implantation. A price comparison is incomplete until these roles are clear.
Some clinics charge per graft, while many Turkish providers sell fixed packages covering a projected range or the maximum number considered safe in one session. A larger recipient area may require more operating time, staff and consumables, but the cheapest “unlimited grafts” offer is not necessarily good value.
Donor hair is limited. The correct number is the number that can be harvested safely and used effectively—not the largest number a sales representative is willing to promise from photographs.
FUE, Sapphire FUE and DHI packages often carry different prices. DHI or unshaven work may cost more because graft loading and implantation can be labour-intensive. However, branded terminology is not always used consistently. Ask the clinic to describe the actual extraction and implantation process rather than relying on the package name.
Repair procedures, scar camouflage, depleted donor areas, curly or tightly curled follicles, female diffuse thinning and unshaven surgery may require more time and specialised experience. A smaller but technically demanding case can cost more than a straightforward larger session.
Operating in a hospital, medical centre or private practice carries different costs. Istanbul has the largest concentration of international providers, creating both strong competition and a wide premium market. Clinics in Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and other cities may price differently, but city alone is not a reliable indicator of quality or value.
A quote that includes three hotel nights, private transport, translation, medication and scheduled follow-up cannot be compared directly with a surgery-only fee. Even two “all-inclusive” packages may have different hotel classes, room types, transfer zones and aftercare provisions.
International clinics may quote in euros, pounds or US dollars. The amount charged to your card can change because of exchange rates, bank fees or dynamic currency conversion. Cash discounts and card surcharges should be disclosed before you travel and recorded on the invoice.
Publicly advertised 2026 prices suggest broad, overlapping ranges. They should be used for budgeting rather than as evidence that one technique is medically appropriate.
| Technique or service | Approximate 2026 package range | Important context |
|---|---|---|
| Standard FUE | €1,500–€4,000 | Individual graft extraction; implantation method may vary |
| Sapphire FUE | €2,000–€4,500 | Usually FUE extraction with sapphire blades used for recipient sites |
| DHI | €2,500–€6,000 | Usually FUE extraction followed by implantation with pen devices |
| Unshaven or partially shaven procedure | €3,000–€7,000+ | Often more time-consuming and not suitable for every graft requirement |
| Physician-led or complex repair procedure | €5,000–€10,000+ | Pricing depends heavily on the surgeon, donor condition and repair plan |
The ranges above are an editorial synthesis of publicly available clinic pricing, not regulated fees. Some clinics advertise prices outside them. A technique should be selected after an examination, not because its package is discounted or presented as the newest option.
For a fuller explanation of what each label means, see our planned guide to FUE, DHI, Sapphire FUE and FUT techniques.
DHI is frequently priced above standard FUE. The difference may reflect longer implantation time, the number of staff involved, disposable implanter components, smaller daily capacity or positioning as a premium service. It does not automatically mean that DHI will produce a denser or more natural result.
FUE usually describes how follicular units are removed from the donor area. DHI commonly describes how grafts are placed with an implanter pen. A procedure can therefore use FUE harvesting and DHI-style implantation. Ask exactly what changes between the clinic’s packages and whether the same doctor and team are involved.
If two prices differ only because one is called DHI, request a written explanation of the expected clinical benefit in your case. The value should come from an appropriate plan and skilled execution, not the label alone.
Sapphire FUE packages are often priced slightly above standard FUE. “Sapphire” generally refers to the blade material used to make recipient channels; it does not describe a different donor extraction method. The additional fee may be modest or included within a clinic’s standard package.
A sapphire blade does not guarantee faster healing, greater density or higher graft survival. Those outcomes depend on multiple factors, including incision design, graft handling, blood supply, donor quality and the experience of the team. Avoid paying a large premium without understanding what else differs between the offers.
In a strict per-graft system, the total rises as more follicular units are transplanted. In a fixed-package system, the price may remain the same within a stated range. This is one reason a Turkish quote can look very different from a quotation in the UK or United States.
A follicular-unit graft can contain one or several hairs. A quote for “8,000 hairs” may represent far fewer than 8,000 grafts. Always ask which unit the clinic is using and request the final graft count after surgery.
Every extraction removes a follicular unit from a limited donor reserve. Excessive or uneven harvesting can leave visible thinning and reduce the options for future surgery. A package promising 5,000 or more grafts should not be treated as a bargain until a qualified professional has assessed whether that number is safe and useful.
Public price pages often use 2,000, 3,000 or 4,000 grafts as examples, but there is no dependable national price per graft. The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery notes that fees vary widely according to the surgeon and practice model; some providers charge per graft and others use a fixed projected range.
Rather than asking only “How much for 3,000 grafts?”, ask why 3,000 is appropriate, which areas will be treated, what density is planned and how much donor capacity should remain. A smaller, well-distributed transplant can offer better value than a larger poorly planned one.
The clinic charges one amount for a defined treatment and set of travel services. This makes budgeting easier, but you should know the permitted graft range and whether the price changes after the in-person assessment.
The fee is calculated from the number of grafts planned or actually transplanted. This can be transparent if the clinic documents the count, but the final total may change if the surgical plan changes. Confirm whether consultation, facility, anaesthesia and aftercare fees are separate.
The clinic proposes to harvest the maximum number it considers safe during the session. This should never mean an unlimited number. Ask who determines the safe limit, how donor density is measured and whether the team will stop below the advertised maximum if your donor area requires it.
“All-inclusive” is a marketing description rather than a single standard package. Its meaning differs among providers. A common international-patient package may contain:
Do not assume every item is included merely because the clinic uses the phrase “VIP” or “all-inclusive.” Request an itemised quotation and keep it with the clinic’s terms and messages.
The following expenses may sit outside the package even when it is described as inclusive:
Flights are excluded from most packages, although individual promotions may include a ticket or a reimbursement allowance. If a clinic says flights are included, ask for the maximum allowance, eligible routes, baggage rules, booking responsibility and refund terms in writing.
A patient may book FUE and then be told that DHI, Sapphire FUE or another upgrade is more suitable at an additional cost. A change can be medically reasonable after examination, but the clinic should explain it without pressure and allow you to decline.
Some packages cover a maximum number, with an extra fee above that limit. Ask whether the quotation is genuinely fixed and what happens if the proposed count increases or decreases.
The initial kit may be included while replacement shampoo, lotion, vitamins or prescribed medicine costs extra. Separate essential medical care from optional retail products.
Additional testing may be appropriate when a health history or initial result raises concern. Ask which routine tests are included and who pays if surgery is postponed or cancelled for medical reasons.
Arriving a day early, using a different airport or extending the stay can create extra charges. Confirm the complete itinerary before booking non-refundable travel.
If a complication develops after departure, you may need to see a local doctor or purchase medication. Travel insurance frequently excludes planned elective treatment and its consequences, so read the policy rather than assuming coverage.
Use a total-trip budget rather than comparing only procedure prices:
Total estimated cost = clinic package + flights + insurance + excluded accommodation and transfers + meals and local expenses + payment fees + contingency budget + possible care at home.
For example, a fictional €2,800 clinic package is not a €2,800 trip if flights, an additional night, insurance, meals and bank fees add another €700. Its practical cost is closer to €3,500. This example is for budgeting only and is not a quotation.
A contingency allowance is sensible because flight changes, extra accommodation or local medical assessment can be expensive when arranged at short notice. Do not spend the entire available budget on the deposit and procedure.
Lower operating and staffing costs, currency differences, strong competition and a highly developed medical-tourism infrastructure help Turkish providers offer lower prices than many clinics in Western Europe or North America. Package providers can also negotiate hotel and transport services at scale.
Lower national costs do not mean that every inexpensive clinic cuts corners, just as a higher price does not prove quality. However, unusually low prices can be achieved by increasing daily volume, limiting doctor time, delegating more tasks or reducing follow-up. Patients should understand the model rather than judging it from price alone.
The ISHRS advises patients not to exchange healthcare safeguards for a discount and warns about procedures in which important surgical steps are performed by unlicensed personnel. The key question is not simply why Turkey is cheaper, but how the specific clinic delivers the quoted price.
It can be. Poor hairline design, low graft survival, donor overharvesting or visible scarring may require corrective surgery. Repair work is often more difficult and expensive because donor follicles have already been used, and some damage cannot be fully corrected.
That does not mean you must select the most expensive clinic. It means that savings should come from transparent differences—such as package extras or accommodation level—rather than uncertainty about who performs the surgery or where it takes place.
A useful quotation clearly identifies:
Create a simple comparison sheet and use the same questions for every clinic. A price table without service details can make the least complete offer look cheapest.
| Comparison point | Information to record for each clinic |
|---|---|
| Total quoted price and currency | Fixed amount, payment currency and expiry date of the quote |
| Responsible doctor | Full name, professional title and registration details |
| Doctor’s surgical role | Consultation, hairline, anaesthesia, extraction, recipient sites and supervision |
| Estimated graft range | Minimum, maximum and what happens if the count changes |
| Technique and implantation method | How grafts are harvested, recipient sites created and grafts implanted |
| Hotel and nights | Hotel name, room type, occupancy, meals and additional-night price |
| Transfers | Every included route, airports covered and delayed-flight policy |
| Tests, medication and aftercare | Included tests, products, follow-up schedule and emergency contact |
| Cancellation and complication policy | Refund conditions and responsibility for additional medical care |
Use our Turkey hair transplant clinic directory to create a shortlist. A directory listing should be the beginning of due diligence, not the end. Verify important information directly with the clinic and through official sources.
Ask for the legal name and complete address of the facility where surgery will occur. The Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health publishes current lists of healthcare providers authorised for international health tourism. Check the official authorised healthcare provider lists rather than relying only on a logo displayed by a clinic.
Authorisation is an important administrative check, but it does not rank clinics or guarantee a particular result. You should still verify the doctor, surgical roles, consent process, donor plan and aftercare. Our guide to choosing a hair transplant clinic in Turkey will cover these checks in greater depth.
Istanbul contains the greatest concentration of providers serving international hair transplant patients. Competition produces a very broad market, from low-cost packages to premium surgeon-led care. Ankara and Izmir also have established medical services, while Antalya and other tourism centres may combine treatment with travel packages.
It is not safe to assume that a smaller city is always cheaper or that Istanbul is always more expensive. Flights, hotel availability, the doctor’s reputation, clinic model and package scope often matter more than the city. If travelling outside Istanbul, also consider international flight connections and the cost of any domestic transfer.
Women may require detailed diagnostic work, selective donor shaving and careful placement among existing hair. Diffuse thinning can also limit candidacy. The price may be higher when an unshaven approach or longer procedure is needed, but sex alone should not determine the fee.
The curl continues below the skin, which can make extraction technically demanding and increase the risk of graft transection for an inexperienced team. A clinic with relevant case experience may charge more or limit the daily graft target.
Repair work may involve removing or disguising unnatural grafts, revising scars, rebuilding a hairline or using a depleted donor area carefully. It often requires staged treatment and should not be priced as a routine first procedure.
Facial hair procedures often use fewer grafts than scalp surgery but demand precise control of angle and direction. Publicly advertised prices vary widely, commonly from around €1,000 to €4,000 depending on the area, graft requirement and team. Compare specialist experience rather than assuming that fewer grafts always means a proportionally lower fee.
Using beard or body follicles as an additional donor source can be time-consuming and biologically different from scalp-to-scalp transplantation. It is generally considered for selected patients rather than as a routine way to increase graft numbers. A specialist assessment and customised quotation are required.
Clinics may offer PRP, laser treatment, “stem cell” products, exosomes, oxygen-related treatments, special preservation solutions or branded recovery programmes. Prices can increase substantially when several extras are bundled into a premium package.
Ask four questions before paying:
An add-on should not distract from fundamentals such as diagnosis, donor management, graft handling and recipient-site design. Be cautious with guaranteed percentage improvements or vague regenerative claims that are not supported by clear evidence.
Many clinics request a deposit to reserve the procedure date, hotel or medical team. Before paying, obtain written answers to the following:
Paying through a traceable method can provide better documentation than handing cash to an unidentified representative. Confirm that the recipient name matches the clinic, facility or authorised organisation named in your agreement.
An online plan is provisional because photographs cannot show every donor or scalp characteristic. A responsible in-person examination may lead to a lower graft count, postponement or a different approach. That is not automatically a warning sign.
The concern is pressure: a patient who has already paid for flights and arrived in Turkey may feel unable to refuse a more expensive plan. Protect yourself by asking in advance for:
Do not consent to a procedure you no longer understand simply because you have travelled. Elective surgery can be postponed.
The travel package is not always the end of the financial commitment. Native hair can continue thinning because transplantation does not stop the underlying hair-loss process. Depending on your diagnosis and preferences, long-term costs may include:
Medication should be discussed with an appropriately qualified clinician because benefits, contraindications and side effects vary. Do not add a lifelong treatment cost to the plan solely because it appears in a package advertisement.
Many publicly advertised international packages reviewed in September 2026 fall around €2,000–€6,000. Offers can be lower, while physician-led, low-volume, repair or premium procedures may cost €7,000–€10,000 or more. The final quotation depends on the patient, clinic model, technique and package contents.
A 3,000-graft procedure commonly falls within the broader €2,000–€5,000 package market, but fixed-package and per-graft clinics calculate prices differently. Do not select a graft target from price alone; the donor area and treatment priorities should determine the plan.
Advertised standard FUE packages frequently range from approximately €1,500 to €4,000. The identity and involvement of the doctor, graft requirement, facility and included travel services can be more important than the extraction label.
DHI packages commonly appear in the approximate €2,500–€6,000 range. They may cost more because implantation can take longer or because clinics place DHI in a higher service tier. A higher DHI price does not guarantee a better result.
Usually not. Some promotions include a ticket, reimbursement or limited flight allowance, but this should be confirmed in writing. Ask about eligible routes, baggage, booking responsibility and the maximum amount covered.
They are common in international packages, but not universal. Confirm the hotel, number of nights, room occupancy and every included journey. “VIP transfer” does not necessarily cover transport outside the planned itinerary.
Some providers offer a cash price or add a card-processing fee. Ask for both totals in writing and obtain an invoice or receipt. Consider documentation and payment security as well as the discount.
No. Price can reflect physician time, lower patient volume, facility costs, accommodation or branding, but it does not prove a good outcome. Evaluate qualifications, surgical roles, donor planning, comparable results, consent and aftercare.
Low operating costs and competition explain part of the difference. Very low offers may also use high patient volume, limited doctor involvement, basic accommodation or fewer aftercare services. Ask how the clinic achieves the price rather than assuming either good or bad quality.
Yes, because the in-person assessment may reveal a different graft requirement or medical issue. The clinic should explain the reason and obtain new consent without pressure. Ask about price-change and refund policies before travelling.
No clinic can provide truly unlimited grafts because donor hair is finite. The safe amount depends on density, hair characteristics, scalp condition and future needs. Treat “unlimited” as a pricing phrase, not a medical target.
Before comparing the final numbers, confirm that you know:

A realistic 2026 budget for a hair transplant trip to Turkey often begins with a clinic package of around €2,000–€6,000, plus any excluded travel and personal expenses. Premium or complex treatment can cost considerably more. The price becomes meaningful only when you know who will perform the procedure, what is included and whether the plan protects your limited donor supply.
Compare written quotations rather than promotional headlines. Verify the facility, ask about surgical roles, calculate the complete trip cost and retain a contingency budget. The best financial decision is not necessarily the lowest or highest quote; it is the transparent plan that is medically appropriate and financially understood before you travel.
